Kenny Warren is one of the nation's premier trumpeters. He plays extremely complex pieces that only a handful of musicians can play and is incredibly modest. That's just a fact. Because I'm great friends with his parents, Jeff & Debbie, I thought I'd reach out to Kenny. Plus, Kenny was in Michelle's youth group from church and he and some of his friends pranked my house. So, he said that he owes me. I definitely won the prize on that one. Anyway, I sent Kenny the song and asked for something lively that fits the Big Band era. His arrangements are not too much and not too little. Just right.
