VIII. ROLLING LIKE I SHOULD
Another song we played at the Denver Rescue Mission. But this song goes back to my old Aslan band days in Salina, Kansas. That was a great band with great people. BTW, Jon Black still owes me a truck. I made a 40 foot called "all-net" shot at my backyard basketball court. Jon said, "if you make it, I'll give you my truck." I'm still waiting for the truck. Back to the song... Classic old-school 1950's rock and roll number with a Jerry Lee Lewis flavor. Check out RobTZ 's drums on this song. He is phenomenal and nails the era perfectly. Even better, RobTZ has a deep commitment to the Lord and just a class dude.

Lyrics
Rolling Like I Should
© mg songs 1990
I got Jesus in the morning / Jesus in the night
Jesus in between time / and He makes me feel alright / and I like it
Yeah, yeah, feels so good
Jesus is my rock and I’m rollin’ like I should
Well, He gave the Holy Bible to tell me what to do
And then He gave the Holy Spirit to make my life anew / and I like it
Yeah, yeah, feels so good
Jesus is my rock and I’m rollin’ like I should
INSTRUMENTAL
Jesus is the way / Jesus is the truth
Jesus is the life / He rose and gave us proof / and I like it
Yeah, yeah, feels so good
Jesus is my rock and I’m rollin’ like I should
No matter what I do or say / Jesus is with me all of the way
I got Jesus in the morning / Jesus in the night
Jesus in between time / and He makes me feel alright / and I like it
Yeah, yeah, feels so good
Jesus is my rock and I’m rollin’ like ….
Jesus is my rock and I’m rollin’ like …..
Jesus is my rock and I’m rollin’ like I should
